Tighnabruaich has a selection of shops, cafes and an art gallery in an idyllic seaside setting.

PS WAVERLEY
The last sea-going paddle steamer in the world stops at Tighnabruaich Pier for trips round the Kyles and surrounding islands. A fantastic way to view the area. Operates from end of June to end of August in the Clyde area.

The most northerly producer of lavender in the UK. We recommend a wander round the Gift Shop - full of lovely things.

PORTAVADIE TO TARBERT FERRY
(Calmac timetables) A short crossing to a picturesque fishing village. The village is only a 10min walk from the ferry and has a few art galleries, shops, pubs and cafes.

KILBRIDE BAY (known locally as Ostel Bay)
An idyllic sandy beach perfect for romantic walks, blowing away the cobwebs or just letting the kids run riot - well worth the short hike to get there.
